SUBMISSIONS
The Hollywood Music Video Awards offers everyone a platform, from those who direct, produce, edit or perform to those who are simply truly interested in film as a field of science. The HMVAs '26 are to commemorate and honor the outstanding achievements for the videos of 2025.
Nominations & eligibility are on a user submission-based only system.
Anyone can participate. Budget, label and names are not a determining factor.
GENERAL INFO & RULES:

We accept videos that were published between the 1/1/2025 - 12/31/2025 or videos that are not yet published.

Regular deadline for video submissions is December 5th, 2025, our late deadline is January 3rd, 2026 and our final extended LAST CALL deadline is January 23rd, 2026.

Every nominee in the "of the year honors" category will be entitled to 1 ticket to the ceremony. (must RSVP by date to be determined)

Every winner will be awarded 1 honorary trophy award. Additional statues, plaques & certificates will be available after the ceremony.

All information about submitted videos can be published by the Hollywood Music Video Awards without giving further notice.

The Hollywood Music Video Awards are not responsible for legal disputes about the usage, or promotion of videos that were submitted illegally nor can they be held responsible to clarify the issues with the person that submitted the video.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
¹ Breakout Director of the Year - Honoring the fresh voice who burst onto the scene and changed the game. Recognizing an emerging director whose talent and originality made a breakthrough impact.
² Eyecannndy’s Most Innovative - In partner ship with @eyecannndy For the boldest, freshest, most original video that refused to play it safe. Recognizing a video that broke convention with daring originality and creative risk-taking.
³ Best Online Virality - For the video that broke the internet - Recognizes viral moments that sparked cultural buzz, major engagement, and online traction across platforms.
⁴ Best Low Budget - Awarded to the best music video made with $10,000 or less. This category highlights resourceful creativity.
⁵ Best Shot on Phone - Recognizing the best music video shot entirely on a mobile phone. Show us what’s possible when storytelling meets DIY production.
⁶ Of the Year Honors are judged on an individual’s overall body of work. Only one primary video submission is required.
This optional field allows you to list additional projects and specify your role on each for contextual consideration. Projects listed here are not entered into other award categories and are reviewed only as supplemental information for the individual’s Of the Year submission.
